The eighth issue of Entremons: UPF Journal of World History is now available. This issue includes, among others, articles on gender in world history, political repression in Spanish universities during Franco's regime, and colonial aspects in Giuseppe Verdi's opera Aida. It also features studies about sacrificial rites in the Phoenician world and health care in Chile under Salvador Allende's administration. For more information, check out the table of contents.
Entremons coorganizes with Asiadémica a seminar entitled "Otra Historia" aim at fostering debate on the place African and Asian studies have in academia. The seminar will take place June 13 in Calsamiglia room at the Ciutadella Campus of Universitat Pompeu Fabra starting at 10:30h.
